Let’s start the evening comfortably: Begur, located in the beautiful hinterland of the Costa Brava, is a small, culturally diverse town – but has (to the delight of the residents!) No great nightlife. However, there are some highly recommended bars and restaurants where you can eat and drink very well in the evening. The “Bar de Placa” serves authentic snacks and regional gossip at the same time. If that’s too ordinary for the start of the evening, one corner away in the small “diferent” you’ll find exquisite Catalan cuisine with that little bit of extra creativity. Cultural activities such as concerts and theater performances also take place regularly in the town, and the town’s legendary music festival enjoys a reputation far beyond the country’s borders among connoisseurs.

If that’s not enough entertainment for you and you’re looking for a bustling, youthful nightlife, you can head to the larger towns like Palafrugell or Platja d’Aro, which offer a wider selection of bars, clubs and restaurants.

Palafrugell has a lively old town with many gastronomies where you can enjoy local specialties even at very late hours. Outstanding and also extremely popular among locals is “El Pati de L’Estrella”, an extremely cool, colorful beer garden with solid cocktails and delicious (also many vegetarian!) grilled specialties. The “Calaubar” combines a stylish upscale interior with equally tasty experiences from lunch to dinner at eleven in the evening. At “L’Autentic” you encounter the complete opposite concept: wildly mixed chairs match the modern art and the very reduced but delicious offer of tapas and excellent martini.

Platja d’Aro is known for its beach bars and clubs that are open late into the night. Modeled after Ibiza’s “Café del Mar,” they offer a relaxed atmosphere and a wide selection of drinks. The music selection along the promenade ranges from chilling sounds to hot rhythms and hard techno. The “Friends” is located directly on the beach and offers first-class food as well as entertaining live acts and roaring parties. The “Baobab Lounge Club” offers the most creative cocktails on the coast in a forest of umbrellas and funny lamps.

The night is still young, so it’s on to the party hotspots of Llloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar.

In Lloret de Mar there is a lively party scene with many clubs and bars that are known for their music and sprawling parties. The place has gained a reputation as a party stronghold not only through various television formats. Almost countless clubs and discos vie for the favor of party animals of all ages. One of the largest and currently hottest venues is Colossos, which regularly attracts guests with foam parties in the style of the 90s. The “Revolution” even has ice storms (!) in its program. If that gets too cold for you, you can warm up again to the current charts in the “Texas” directly opposite. The city’s best-known hip-hop club, the “London,” provides musical variety.

The small old town of Tossa de Mar is regularly visited in the summer by groups of young people who spend their school trips and vacations there. Accordingly, it is loud and fun on the streets before the right operating temperature is reached and the discos and clubs finally open their doors. El Trinket”, with its billiards and table football, is a great place to get together before the party starts – and if you’re a serious person, you’ll naturally meet up in the crowd in front of it. One of the best addresses for high-quality musical nightlife on the Costa Brava is, of course, the “Tahiti”, where excellent live artists regularly provide a hot atmosphere. If you still have enough energy afterwards, you can let off steam until dawn at the “Sivas”.

However you want to spend your evenings during your stay on the Costa Brava, you should not forget to choose a strategic location for your vacation, from which you can easily reach both the daily activities such as visits to the beach or walks, and the nightlife with all its facets in the various towns.
